These Hinged Gemstone and Copper Earrings were designed to become your signature pair. This first-in-series hinged gemstone earring features a natural turquoise gemstone rondelle bead at its central point where hand-coiled and hammered copper braces hold it in place. Another tier of copper wire threads through the copper coil braces and the turquoise rondelle bead; then, curves upward ending in another set of overlapping hammered coiled ends. A chrysoprase beaded copper link attaches the tiered earring to a handmade, hammered sterling silver ear wire. A triptych of handmade, hammered coiled copper wire and chrysoprase bead ornaments dangle from the lower tier. The result is an artful earring that gently responds to your movements … a design that frames the face and accents the shape of the neck and shoulders. Finished length from loop end of ear wire measures approximately 3.75 inches (9.5 centimeters). Custom design services are available if you love this design and prefer a slightly shorter length — but, too short a length might limit the hinge function and restrict freedom of movement for this particular earring.
